Our client is a successful and thriving company searching for an experienced Engineering Designer who’s well versed in 3D modeling for products in the medical device industry. This is a company who is well respected in their industry and is in the process of developing several new products and expanding at a tremendous rate.

Job Description
This person will be responsible for the modeling and detailed design of products as defined by the company. This includes the origination of detailed engineering drawings and related documents. In addition, the person will also support the development of new products from concept through commercialization as part of a cross-functional development team.

Qualification
Successful candidates for this position have:
*MUST have 4-6 years experience in Design for the Medical Device industry.
*Prefer individuals with a good background designing products in orthopedics or surgical instruments.
*Experience in design control.
*Understanding of FEA, GD&T, and tolerance stack up.
*Able to handle sustaining projects, small to large with minimal supervision.
*Proficient with SolidWorks or equivalent modeling software.
*Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering / Mechanical Design.
*Familiar with manufacturing techniques typical to medical device manufacturing, such as: metal and plastic machining, welding, plastic injection molding and overmolding, metal stamping, EDM, etc.
