Duties and Responsibilities
Plans, directs and oversees Laboratory functions. Provides education and training for technical staff in terms of product development, formulation, testing procedures, raw material data, etc. Manages and supervises in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Interviews, hires, and trains employees; plans, assigns, and directs work; monitors overall results and appraises individual performance; rewards and disciplines employees; addresses complaints and resolves problems.
Responsible for administrative functions including: assigning proper lab personnel for ink trials, customer visits, etc., performance and salary evaluation, interviewing and/or selecting final applicants for hire, conducts employee counseling - provides feedback, disciplinary action, as per company policies and procedures.
Responsible for all technical projects for all customers in the specific region ($80 - 100M) Coordinating between Sales; R&D SCM; HSE; Purchasing departments. The candidate will also communicate with technical staff in other regions in order to find the best solution globally available. Regular participation in international technology meetings and keeping abreast of up-to-date technology and/or all technical aspects of the industry will be required.
Requirements
BS Chemistry (Organic preferred), 10 years comprehensive knowledge of resin, pigment and additive chemistry for printing ink applications, advanced leadership skills and experience working with international markets.

Proven ability to create/maintain an effective team environment, strong business acumen, technical aptitude, problem-solving, professional selling, communication and cross-functional leadership skills are required along with a detailed understanding of the customer engagement process. Fluency in English is required along with excellent interpersonal communication skills, proficiency in MS office suite, and proven capability to quickly understand relevant applicable product technologies. A valid driver’s license is required. This position requires overnight travel (domestic).
Preferred Qualifications:

Primary Function and Scope of Role:
Lead the soups, sauces, gravies, dressings (SSGD) global applications function. Supervisory and Team Leadership - Lead and manage the SSGD applications team. This includes supervisory responsibility as well as project/ portfolio management responsibility for the team.
Project Management - Define, justify, and lead/ support projects for identified market segments including team development, leadership, and timely delivery of agreed upon technical and business outcomes.
Technology - Intellectual leadership and innovation management including shaping and developing intellectual property from the team. This includes conducting prior art searches (literature, patents) related to projects and staying abreast of savory technology development (market trends, IP landscape). Technical Assistant position with international food ingredient company who is a global leader in its market. Position requires knowledge of R&D routine and flexibility to work with different applications. Must be able to communicate to customers and sales team to answer and help solve technical questions. Position based in NJ with some possible travels to
customers.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage a small application lab
• Assist Sales team with customer’s request, including work in prototypes and technical visits and presentations.
• Follow trials at Universities / Institutes when necessary
• Interface with our European R&D team
Potential market areas: All Food Applications, but mostly; Beverages, Bakery, Nutrition, Confectionary, Food supplements.
Work experience requirements:
• Minimum of 2 years R&D for food ingredients or flavor application
• Excellent oral/written communication skills, presentation experience
• Computer literacy – Microsoft Office package.
Education Requirements
• BS degree in Food Science or science related field (Chemistry, Biology, Engineering)

Our Client is looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer.
Job Description
Some general responsibilities will include: Ensuring products and services meet the required product quality, effective control, and process performance. Interface with Customers to ensure quality standards are identified, defined and met and nonconformities are resolved. Collaborate with Manufacturing and Engineering to provide direction and insure product and process quality is maintained and improved. Develop/establish systems, procedures, documentation, and metrics to support these required standards, including those required for ISO certifications
Qualification
Successful candidates for this position have:
* Minimum 3-5 years experience in a Quality role preferably in a Pharmaceutical/Medical Manufacturing environment.
* Ideally Certified Six Sigma, but will consider someone who’s completed the training & obtaining certification.
* Experience in ISO Quality & Environmental Management Systems.
* ASQ Certifications (i.e. CQE or CQA).
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Solid project management skills.
* A bachelor's degree in Engineering or technical field preferred.
